It rained on Spring Day 2012.  Just for a little bit. Just enough to bring the proverbial "Wedding Blessings" and to make everything feel new & fresh and full of promise. And then it stopped, and the sun came out, and it was glorious! What a lovely way to start your life as a married couple!

I just love the vintage theme of the Wedding and how Carmen managed to pull it all together from the car, to the décor and the dress. They're such a happy and easy couple to work with, and having gotten over the "camera-nerves" with their Kalk Bay Engagement Shoot, it was so much fun shooting their wedding!

"THIS IS THE START OF YOUR SWEET LITTLE STORY THE PART WHERE YOUR PAGE MEETS MINE. NO MATTER WERE YOUR TALE TAKES YOU, TOMORROW OUR STORY WILL ALWAYS READ LOVE."

I love shooting in the forest, this great family was so much fun and game for anything - climbing in trees and jumping over streams - just to get that special shot.  Little man Jamie was true to his age and a real busy-body running around, exploring and discovering all the great things around him.

Lovely Oprah turned two recently and spent a GORGEOUS day at Green Point Park celebrating with her friends and family.  What a lucky girl to have a sunshine day on her party in the middle of Cape Town winter!

I cannot wait to capture the special and intricate moments of Carmen & Tarin's wedding in Spring! These two love-birds are, despite their objections, so easy to photograph and really game for anything! From walking on slippery rocks in the sea, to climbing on industrial machinery, taking snapshots of them is really SO much fun.

Little two-year-old-energy-bundle-Kiara and her parents were so great and easygoing on their Photoshoot, we started the session a bit early with some harsh light that was really unexpected on a beautiful winter's day... so we ended staying longer than planned at Green Point park and were rewarded with the most magical pastel colours in the sky.  I simply love the mood, love and light of this shoot!

Blustery.  A very, very blustery Blouberg Beach.

To say this shoot, with these four lovely friends, was a challenge, is a huge understatement.  But despite the whipping wind, the afternoon was nothing short of fabulous FUN!

Tammy's beautiful heart & magical spirit was so evident as she and her energetic, up-for-anything friends: Miquella, Anoeska and Lara; hopped, skipped and jumped up and down the beach.  Like I said. FUN!

I love autumn, especially May.

Not only because its my Birthday-month, my Anniversary-month AND Mothersday-month, but more so for the change in season.  A reason to get out some winter socks and light up the fireplace... mostly I love autumn for all the beautiful COLOURS!

So when Nicole asked me to do a shoot for her family of three beautiful teenage kids and two dogs, I was so excited when she agreed to do it near the Majik Forest in Durbanville, next to some colour-changing vines!  On the day, I even got my favourite photo-shoot weather: Overcast skies!

This family was awesome and really game for anything, jumping, running and very nearly even swimming in the stream.  Their energy and joy was very contagious!

What a crazy photo-shoot! late on a Sunday afternoon running through beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, we took some long over-due pics of stunning little Sarah-Jane (and a few of her parents too!).  Taryn and Shaun are such a happy couple, contented with their latest addition to the family, totally in love with each-other and parenthood.  I love photographing LOVE!

so much adoration...looking at her Daddy's eyes (I love that you can see his reflection in hers!)

Last Sunday afternoon we had a family shoot with my good friend Andrea, her sister Gaby and mom Joan.  They were great fun and we spent some relaxing time walking about Green Point Park/Moullie Point; in between the chatter I managed to get a few snapshots:

Next month marks the 5th Wedding Anniversary of this free-spirited, energetic and dedicated couple.  After all this time, they seem more in love now, then ever before! Despite the predictable wind on Blouberg Beach, I had so much fun and was literally was knee deep in the water. With the happy pair exuding love for each other - it made my job so easy to snap those special moments.
